Training of informal collectors

Since July 2022, Coliba Africa has been training 6,000 plastic waste collectors in the cities of Abidjan, Tiassalé, Yamoussoukro, and Bouaké. This program, supported by USAID, aims to structure the informal sector, improve collection practices, and create sustainable jobs.

Recycling plant in Bouaké

In April 2023, Coliba Africa launched a plastic waste processing unit in Bouaké, funded by the Coca-Cola Foundation to the tune of 124.4 million FCFA. This facility will collect and process 600 tons of plastic per year into semi-finished products such as bottle caps, shoes, and pipes.

Partnership with Petro Ivoire

Coliba Africa has signed a partnership with Pétro Ivoire to install plastic waste collection points at 77 gas stations across the country. The goal is to reduce the environmental impact of plastic waste generated by the oil company's operations.
